Creating a Document
Create a New Document
Choose File>New from the menu bar.
( The New Document task pane appears.)
From the New section, click Blank Document Or
Click the New icon on the menu bar.
Or
Press CTRL+N on the keyboard.
Save a Document
Saving is a process of storing Collected of store information in disk (Storage Device) .When you save a document for the first time word display the Save As dialgo box .
Click the Save button on the menu bar.
Or
Select File--Save from the menu bar.
or
Press CTRL+S on the keyboard
The Save As dialog box appears.
From the Save in drop-down list, make the appropriate selection:(Location)
In the File name text box, type a filename
Click SAVE
Note: Use the Save As command to copy a document that has already been named and saved.
Open an Existing Document
Click the Open icon on the menu bar.
or
Choose File >Open from the menu bar.
or
Press CTRL+O on the keyboard.
Each method will show the Open dialog box. Choose the file and click the Open button
Select the desired file And Click Open.
Close a Document :
When you are finished working on your document, you have two options, depending on whether you are finished using Word. Closing a Document: Continuing Word
From the File menu, select Close
If you have made changes that have not been saved, a dialog box appears asking you if you want to save the document.
To save the document, click Yes
To close without saving, click No
Closing a Document: Exiting Word
From the File menu, select Exit
If you have made changes that have not been saved, a dialog box appears asking you if you want to save the document.
To save any open document(s), click Yes
To close without saving, click No
To continue working, click Cancel
