Working With Graphic
Clip Art :

Microsoft Word comes with its own set of pictures(Pre-Define) in the Clip Gallery. To insert such small pictures into your document. This collection of drawings, pictures, and graphics includes pieces of Clip Art for any creation.

  • Go to Insert menu >>Picture >> Clip Art
  • Type your picture name which you want to insert in your doucment .
  • click any picture on the clip art gallery
    Form File :
    • Go to Insert menu >> Picture >> From File
    • Click the down arrow button on the right of the Look in: window to find the image on your computer.
    • Select the file name from the list and click the Insert button
    Edit Image
    Activate the image you wish to edit by clicking on it once with the mouse.Nine handles will appear around the graphic. Click and drag these handles to resize the image. The handles on the corners will resize proportionally while the handles on the straight lines will stretch the image. More picture effects can be changed using the Picture toolbar.The Picture toolbar should appear when you click on the image. Otherwise
    - Go to View Menu >> Toolbars >> Picture to activate it.
    • Insert Picture will display the image selection window and allows you to change the image.
    • Color allows to to make the image grayscale, black and white, or a watermark.
    • More/Less Contrast modifies the contrast between the colors of the image.
    • More/Less Brightness will darken or brighten the image.
    • Click Crop and drag the handles on the activated image to delete outer portions of the image.
    • Rotate Rotate picture left in 900.
    • Line Style will add a variety of borders to the graphic.
    • Compress will compress picture i.e. Resolution,effect.
    • Text Wrapping will modify the way the document text wraps around the graphic.
    • Format Picture displays all the image properties in a separate window.
    • Transparent will remove background color from the picture
    • Reset Picture will delete all the modifications made to the image.
    Auto Shape

    A group of ready-made shapes that includes basic shapes, such as rectangles and circles, plus a variety of lines and connectors, block arrows, flowchart symbols, stars and banners, and callouts.)

    The AutoShapes available on the Drawing toolbar include several categories of shapes: lines, connectors, basic shapes, flowchart elements, stars and banners, and callouts. More shapes can be found in the Clip Organizer as well.
    Or
    - Go to Insert menu >> Picture >> Autoshapes
    - Select shape you want to draw in your document.
    - Drag the mouse to draw the AutoShape

    Grouping object :

    1. Select each object which you want to make a single group.
    2. At the selected moment, right click on any of the object.
    3. Point to Grouping and then click on Group.
    4. All the selected objects now become a single group.
    Ungrouping object:
    1. Right click on that grouped object whose each component is going to be ungrouped.
    2. Point to Grouping and then click on Ungroup.
    3. All the grouped components now become ungrouped.
    Change stacking order
    1. Select the object for which you want to change its order.
    2. Click on Draw at left end of the drawing toolbar.
    3. Point to the Order option.
    4. Inside Order, click either of the options “Bring to Front”, “Send to Back”, “Bring Forward”, “Send Backward”, “Bring in front of text” or “Send behind text”.
    Align and distribute object
    1. Select the multiple objects for which you are going to align.
    2. Click on Draw at left end of the drawing toolbar.
    3. Pont to the Align and distribute.
    4. Choose any one alignment and distribution type from the list.
    View gridline and snap object
    1. Click Draw àGrid from the drawing toolbar.
    2. Check mark the display gridlines option.
    3. Check mark the snap object to grid option.
    4. Give the required grid size and click on Ok button.
    Rotate and flip object
    1. Select the object which you want to rotate.
    2. Click on Draw àrotate and flip.
    3. Choose the type of rotation you want to perform from the list of options.

    Text box

    A movable, resizable container for text or graphics. Use text boxes to position several blocks of text on a page or to give text a different orientation from other text in the document.

    • To draw textbox, click textbox tool on the drawing toolbar and drag to draw
      Or
    • Go to Insert menu and click Text Box .

    Word Art
    Using Word Art Tool to create special text effect .

    • Click on WordArt icon from the Drawing Toolbar
      Or
    • Go to Insert menu >> Picture >> Word Art
    • Choose Any style form the WordArt Gallery
    • Click on Ok
    • Type your text in Edit WordArt text box ( Define Size , Bold and Italic if you need)
    • Click on Ok.
    • You can also use the Special WorddArt effects from View Menu >> Toolbar >> WordArt
    Symbol

    Symbols are those characters, which are not found in Keyboard. There are various types of symbol and special character you need while typing a document.

    • Place your cursor where you need your symbol.
    • Go to Insert Menu and click on Symbol.
    • Choose font and your required symbol.
    • Click on Insert ..
      To keep Symbol in Shortcut key if you want next time
    • Clic on Shortcut key
    • Type Shortcut key in press new short key box
    • Click on asign
    • When finished, Click on close
